Today I feel tired, but a little bit proud of myself. So many hours of hard work had a really nice result!

Unfortunately, not everything in life is so simple. Not every cause-effect law can be simplified to “do your best and everything will be OK”. Not every instance of “if there is a will there is a way” returns TRUE.

Why? Because of the ‘LUCK’ variable.

Just a few minutes ago, someone told me:
Someone> “Luck does not exist”

And I wonder:
Isn’t it good luck to be born in – let’s say – Sweden instead of Ethiopia?
Isn’t it good luck to be born healthy instead of being born – let’s say…- blind or deaf…
Or to have parents that don’t drink or do drugs…
Or to have a job you really enjoy
Being born in a rich family instead of a poor one…
(the list would continue endless…)

I think that the reason Mr. Someone told such a thing is because he is a lucky person himself, and therefore he is unable to see the luck by himself – unless someone points at it for him.

And so it happens with many other things:
- Rich people see no money – they don’t need to care about the cost of things
- Healthy people do not realize their health – until they lose it!
- Modest people do not realize their modesty, because if they did they would not really be modest!
- (Add more examples in the comments if you find them! )

That is our nature… that is how we are… like one in the water who cries out for thirst.
